How do I set my availability to specific days?

To learn how to set your availability for specific dates, you can watch the video or read the instructions below which describe the the same steps in more detail.

In this scenario, the meeting organizer is creating a new invite on 11/2 and wants to change the invite availability to show slots within the following time intervals:

  • 11/19, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
  • 11/19, 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm
  • 11/21, 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Steps taken:

  1. Since the desired times are more than a week in the future, the date range needs to be changed.  Click the Date Range edit button.

  2. On the calendar control set the start date to 11/19 and the end date to 11/21, so that the date range encompasses all the times in the desired availability. Click Save.

  3. Clear the default availability by clicking the Clear Availability button.

    1. Set the available times for 11/19.  Select Tuesday, Nov 19 in the availability table.  The availability dialog appears.  Click the Add new time button.  Then set the Start time to 10:30 am and the End time to 12:00 pm.  Click the Add new time button again.  Then set the Start time to 1:30 pm.  We can leave the End time as is since the default matches our desired end time of 5:00 pm.  Click Save.

  4. Set the available times for 11/21.  Select Thursday, Nov 21 in the availability table.  The availability dialog appears.  Click the Add new time button.  Then set the Start time to 2:30 pm and leave the End time as 5:00 pm.  Click Save.

When you finish you should see the 3 desired time intervals reflected in the availability table.  Note that since the Event Duration and the Time Slot Increment are both set to 30 minutes, your invite will show the following times assuming you have no conflicting events in your calendar:

  • Tuesday, Nov 19
    • 10:30 am
    • 11:00 am
    • 11:30 am
    • 1:30 pm
    • 2:00 pm
    • 2:30 pm
    • 3:00 pm
    • 3:30 pm
    • 4:00 pm
    • 4:30 pm
  • Thursday, Nov 21
    • 2:30 pm
    • 3:00 pm
    • 3:30 pm
    • 4:00 pm
    • 4:30 pm
